Work Environment

This position is based in our outpatient office located in Appomattox, Virginia. Our facility is well-equipped with state-of-the-art rehabilitation technology and resources to support optimal patient outcomes. Regular interactions occur between therapists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals, emphasizing a cohesive approach to patient rehabilitation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform thorough evaluations of patients to assess their impairments, functional limitations, and rehabilitation needs, developing personalized treatment plans based on physician orders and best practices.

  • Deliver therapeutic interventions and monitor patient progress, adjusting treatment strategies as necessary to ensure alignment with rehabilitation goals and improvement of physical function.

  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all evaluations, treatments, plans of care, and discharge summaries in accordance with federal and state regulations, while also justifying the therapeutic necessity.

  • Supervise the Physical Therapist Assistants (PTAs) and support personnel, providing guidance and mentorship to foster a productive therapeutic environment.

  • Engage in collaborative discussions with multidisciplinary teams, including physicians, occupational therapists, and speech-language pathologists, to implement cohesive intervention strategies for patient care.

  • Evaluate the effectiveness of therapeutic protocols, and contribute to departmental strategies aimed at improving patient care standards and achieving desired outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus

We cater primarily to a diverse patient demographic, including individuals recovering from surgery, injuries, chronic pain, and various physical disabilities. Qualifications
