About this role:
We are looking for a skilled and dedicated Commercial HVAC Technician to join our team. This role involves the installation, maintenance, and repair of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems in commercial settings.
The Commercial HVAC Technician will ensure that HVAC systems operate efficiently and reliably, contributing to a comfortable and productive environment for our clients. We seek someone who excels in troubleshooting complex issues, providing expert solutions, and delivering exceptional customer service while adhering to industry standards and safety regulations.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
  • Expertly clean, adjust, and repair HVAC systems, including air handling units, ductwork, vents, and condensation drainage systems, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Perform thorough diagnostic assessments and service work on HVAC systems to identify and resolve mechanical, electrical, and operational issues, restoring systems to peak functionality.
  • Provide professional HVAC solutions tailored to customer needs, leveraging your expertise to recommend and implement improvements that enhance system performance and energy efficiency.
  • Effectively communicate with customers to address and resolve any issues or concerns related to HVAC systems, ensuring a positive service experience and high customer satisfaction.
  • Accurately complete all necessary documentation, including invoices, warranty forms, and time sheets for each service call, ensuring proper record-keeping and compliance with company procedures.
  • Maintain tools, parts, and the service vehicle in a clean, organized, and functional state, ensuring readiness for all service tasks and promoting operational efficiency.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to emergency repair requests, minimizing downtime and ensuring swift resolution of urgent issues.
  • Stay informed about the latest HVAC technologies, industry trends, and best practices to continually improve service delivery and maintain high standards of technical expertise.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in HVAC service or installation, demonstrating a solid understanding of HVAC systems and components.
  • HVAC Commercial experience preferred but not required.
  • Ability to lift and maneuver heavy equipment, climb ladders, and work comfortably in confined spaces while maintaining safety and efficiency.
  • Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures related to HVAC work, including the ability to implement and follow safety guidelines.
  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
  • Ability to pass periodic drug tests and background checks, ensuring a trustworthy and reliable professional.

The physical requirements of this job include:
  • Lifting 50 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds occasionally
  • Climbing ladders, accessing attics, navigating tight spaces, driving, entering crawlspaces, pushing, carrying, pulling, using hand tools, and performing fine detail work.
  • Ability to drive.
  • Working in various environments, including indoor and outdoor settings, attics, crawlspaces.
  • Ability to stand, walk and sit; talk or hear, both in person and by telephone.
  • Use hands to handle or feel objects or controls; reach with hands and arms.
  • Regularly stoop, kneel, bend, and crouch.
  • The work requires regular exposure to extreme temperatures both indoors and outdoors, such as heat or cold, and adverse weather conditions such as wind, rain, ice or snow.
