Job description

Summary of Duties
Responsible for cleaning, buffing and refinishing floors, cleaning carpets, and performing other housekeeping duties as assigned.
Essential Job Functions
  1. Clean floors, to include sweeping, dusting, damp/wet mopping, disinfecting, etc
  2. Clean carpets, to include vacuuming, shampooing, deodorizing, and disinfecting
  3. Buff floors using floor machine and appropriate pad and finish as needed
  4. Refinish floors using proper stripping or scrubbing method as needed or assigned
  5. Pick up accumulated trash and place in designated areas for storage and/or removal
  6. Clean exit/entrance door areas, to include removing trash and cigarette butts, cleaning glass with cleaner, sweeping mats, etc
  7. Clean equipment daily
  8. Notify supervisor when repairs to equipment are needed
  9. Scrub and clean shower room daily
  10. Clean assigned areas, pull trash, sweep, and spot mop floors
  11. Remove biohazard containers and properly dispose of them daily
  12. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
  13. Comply with policies and procedures
  14. Perform other duties and responsibilities as required

Education and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent preferred. No experience required. On-the-job training provided.
Physical Requirements for Essential Job Functions
  1. Must be able to move about consistently throughout the workday
  2. Must be able to reach, bend, and/or stoop intermittently throughout the work day
  3. Must possess the ability to walk, stand, push, pull, bend, lift, and grasp, and fine hand coordination
  4. Must be able to see and hear or use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately to ensure that the requirements of this position can be fully met
  5. Must be able to push, pull, move, and/or carry up to 50 pounds utilizing proper body mechanics and assistance
  6. Must be able to push, pull, or move up to 100 pounds utilizing proper body mechanics and assistance
  7. Must be able to walk/stand 75% of the day
  8. Must be able to cope with the mental and emotional stress of the position
