Job description

Bright Harbor Healthcare is excited to offer a Sustainability Intern position aimed at promoting environmentally responsible practices within our organization. This internship will involve working closely with our team to enhance and implement sustainability initiatives throughout our facilities and programs.
Position Title: Sustainability Intern
Position Type: Internship; Unpaid; For College Credits
Hours: Flexible; 10-15 hours per week
Location: Toms River, NJ
Department: Youth Bridge Housing/Salt Bridge Farms
Responsibilities:
  • Assist in evaluating current sustainability practices and identifying areas for improvement
  • Help develop and implement sustainable initiatives and educational programs
  • Conduct research on best practices in sustainability within healthcare settings
  • Support the organization of sustainability events and workshops
  • Assist in documenting sustainability efforts and preparing reports
  • Engage with staff and community members to promote environmentally friendly practices

Requirements
  • Currently enrolled in a degree program related to environmental studies, sustainability, or a related field
  • Strong interest in promoting sustainability and environmental stewardship
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Familiarity with sustainability concepts and practices is a plus
