Sushi Chef
Kalahari Resorts & Conventions is seeking a Sushi Chef for our Virginia Resort. In this role, you will be responsible for handling a wide range of raw fish and other ingredients, preparing a variety of sushi dishes, managing food stock, and working with attention to detail to craft beautiful and delicious Sushi dishes. You will collaborate with the culinary team in our signature steakhouse, Double Cut. You'll also support Banquets and Special Events, helping deliver exceptional dining experiences across the resort.
As part of our leadership team, you'll embody our Promise to Lead with Love-guiding, supporting, and inspiring associates while delivering extraordinary guest experiences. You'll prepare high-quality dishes that will contribute to an exceptional dining experience for our guests.

Salary Range - $75,000 - $85,000
Key Responsibilities
  • Responsible for handling a wide range of raw fish and other ingredients.
  • Demonstrate excellent sushi preparation skills and expertise in traditional Japanese fish cutting techniques and high-quality ingredients.
  • Exceptional knife skills, ability to handle and cut fish with precision, speed, & safety.
  • Maintain proper storage, handling, and sanitation procedures.

What We're Looking For
  • We require that you have background, consisting of at least 2 years of experience as a Sushi Cook.
  • Ability to work under pressure, adjust to changing priorities.
  • A leadership style rooted in collaboration, respect, and service to others.
  • Knowledge of the Japanese cuisine.
