Full job description
Job Responsibilities
  • Ability to communicate directly with contractors, subcontractors, engineers, architects, and site superintendents on a wide array of construction layout projects.
  • Ability to interpret and perform necessary stakeout computations using site development plans, structural design plans, and architectural plans for layout in the field.
  • Adept at performing post-stakeout computations (i.e., grading cut sheets, stakeout delta reports, etc.) and compiling stakeout sketches.
  • Schedule & Coordinate field staff on multiple construction layout projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ensure proper field & office quality control and quality insurance procedures are followed in the field and office.
  • Ability to maintain an orderly file management system for incoming and outgoing digital files, drawings, and reports.
  • Perform quantity/item takeoffs for cost estimates and proposals. Development of cost estimates and preparation of technical reports and proposals for construction surveying projects.
  • Ability to prepare and/or review as-built drawings.

Required Attributes
A minimum of 5 years' survey experience with at least 1 year experience as a Construction Surveying Project Manager.
Proven track record of successful survey project management
Valid driver's license and good driving record
Preferred Attributes
Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or Carlson surveying platforms.
Familiarity with Trimble hardware and software.
Excellent communication skills (verbal & written). [MS WORD & EXCEL]
