This Opportunity
WSP is currently searching for a highly experienced and motivated Geomatics Analyst to join our Midwest Region Geomatics Team. This position plays a critical role in delivering geospatial solutions across the Midwest. The preferred location for this position is St. Louis, MO, but can also be located in our other Midwest hub offices: Chicago, IL, or Kansas City, MO. The successful candidate will establish sound operational workflows that assist with future growth of our team.

Expertise
  • Operations of geomatics projects in survey, UAS or crewed aircraft, image, lidar processing, aerotriangulation, orthorectification, feature data extraction, and/or GIS.
  • Create and implement workflow and documented work instructions on critical tasks.
  • Assist in generation of cost estimates, scheduling and technical deliverables.
  • Demonstrate familiarity and understanding of applicable standards, regulations, and QA/QC procedures.
  • Track status and milestones across major projects and pursuits, including support from other regions.

Operational Excellence
  • Promote innovation and continuous improvement in geomatics practices. Lead initiatives to enhance project delivery, quality, and client satisfaction. Collaborate with internal departments and subconsultants to optimize performance.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.
  • Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds and resources and adhere to WSP's Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.

Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • 5+ years of experience in geospatial data including any of the following roles: land surveying, GIS, lidar, remote sensing, or related field.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Experience with CAD and geospatial data processing software.
  • Ability to work independently
  • Familiarity with MS Office tools
  • Commitment to safety, ethics, and WSP's Code of Conduct.
  • Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and be willing to abide by WSP's health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in geospatial related field.
  • Experience with the following tasks: lidar point classification, scan to BIM, UAS flight and processing, aerotriangulation, orthorectification, stereo or 2d feature extraction.
  • Experience in power and utility sectors.
  • Experience with the following applications: Esri ArcGIS Pro, PLS CADD, TopoDOT, OpenRoads Designer, Bentley MicroStation, Autodesk Civil 3d and/or Revit, Terrasolid suite, Hexagon Geospatial, KLT Atlas, Trimble Business Center.
  • Industry certifications such as those from organizations like ASPRS, GISCI.

Compensation:
Expected Salary (Illinois only): $62,600.00 - $80,000.00
