Job description

At Netflix, our mission is to entertain the world. Together, we are writing the next episode - pushing the boundaries of storytelling, global fandom and making the unimaginable a reality. We are a dream team obsessed with the uncomfortable excitement of discovering what happens when you merge creativity, intuition and cutting-edge technology. Come be a part of what's next.

We are at the intersection of award-winning entertainment and cutting-edge technology, powered by our culture and some of the most innovative and collaborative talent in the world. At the center of this is the Netflix Talent (People/HR) team, who are responsible for identifying, attracting and developing Netflix's team of stunning colleagues.

About Talent Analytics:

Talent Analytics focuses on generating meaningful insights from people data that can help leaders inform decisions around our business, our workforce, and our Talent strategy, programs and practices. The team also focuses on maintaining the health and quality of our people data, also called data governance, as this is a critical dependency for generating insights. The team partners with leaders across Netflix and the Talent organization to understand the business context for key questions or challenges that the organization is seeking to address. While the team works most closely with our Global Business Practices (GBP) teams to influence and inform decisions at a program level, some projects bring the group into direct collaboration with business leaders and their HRBPs. The team leverages its diverse backgrounds and an interdisciplinary approach to define the solution best suited to address the question at hand, whether it's designing data and insights products, developing measurement strategy for new programs or leveraging advanced analytical and statistical methods to deeply understand a topic.

The Role:

We are seeking an experienced Survey Analyst, Employee Listening to join our Talent Analytics team and play a key role in the end-to-end execution of our employee listening strategy and programs. This role will leverage your technical expertise and problem-solving skills to transform employee feedback into impactful reporting and insights to inform decision-making and strengthen our culture of feedback.

You will work closely with and support the Senior Manager, Employee Listening, helping to operationalize and deliver on the team's strategic vision. You will also collaborate with a high-impact team of people analytics partners, reporting analysts, and social scientists to deliver integrated insights and innovative solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own the end-to-end lifecycle for multiple employee surveys and listening mechanisms. This includes survey design, advanced programming (logic, automation, custom scripting), deployment, monitoring, and backend data extraction and analysis for census, pulse, lifecycle, and ad-hoc surveys

  • Analyze quantitative and qualitative data using SQL and statistical programming languages (e.g., R or Python) to generate actionable insights, trends, and recommendations

  • Identify and implement process improvements to optimize survey operations, enhancing scalability and efficiency.

  • Build and maintain dashboards and reports to clearly communicate findings to stakeholders at all levels

  • Proactively identify, recommend, and implement improvements to survey methodologies, processes, automation, and reporting

  • Collaborate with partners across Talent, Technology, and the broader business to ensure surveys are aligned with organizational needs and best practices

  • Cultivate relationships within Talent Analytics and cross-functional teams to better understand the employee experience, emerging trends, and employee needs

  • Support the design, execution, and integration of qualitative research activities such as focus groups and interviews alongside survey data

  • Stay up to date with advancements in survey technology, analytics, and data visualization, and apply relevant innovations to the team's work

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in survey operations, people analytics, or a related HR function

  • Demonstrated experience with the end-to-end survey process, including survey design, advanced programming (logic, automation, custom scripting), deployment, backend data extraction, and analysis

  • Hands-on expertise with at least one major survey platform (such as Qualtrics or similar), including experience with API integrations, automation, and custom scripting

  • Proficiency in SQL and at least one statistical programming language (R or Python) for data extraction, analysis, and automation

  • Experience with data visualization and dashboarding tools to present insights effectively

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate data into clear, actionable insights

  • Attention to detail and commitment to data quality, privacy, and documentation

  • Effective communication skills, including the ability to explain technical findings to non-technical audiences and collaborate with cross-functional partners

  • Highly organized, able to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

  • Adaptable and comfortable navigating ambiguity and change

  • Experience working in a global, cross-functional environment is a plus
