Position Summary:ย The Infection Control Practitioner plans, organizes, develops, and implements Wesley Healthcareโ€™s infection prevention and control program in accordanceย toย applicable federal,ย stateย and local standards.ย Program components include surveillance, education, consultation, mandated reporting, and regulatory preparedness.ย This position will assume shared responsibility for the management of surveillance, prevention, and control of infections hospital wide and will collaborate and communicate with other departments to ensure that staff are educated onย optimalย infection prevention and control practices. Strong computer skills areย required. These practices will be delineated, shared,ย maintained, and regularly reviewed.ย ย
