The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience.

Job Overview:

Surgical Technician assists the surgical team during procedures by preparing and maintaining the sterile field, passing instruments, and ensuring surgical equipment is available and functioning properly.

They also assist with routine patient care activities under the supervision of nurses and physicians.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Completion of a Surgical Technician training program from and accredited school
  • 2 3 years of experience in a main OR

Certifications and Licenses:

  • Certified Surgical Technician (NBSTSA) required
  • Current BLS Healthcare Provider Certification required with American Heart Association

Scheduling Requirements:

  • Day shift
  • Part Time
  • On call required
  • Holiday call on rotation

Essential Functions:

  • Must have strong knowledge with skill being able to scrub the following service lines: robotics, vascular, endovascular, general, neuro/spine, orthopedics, complex plastic cases
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (verbally and written)
  • Must be flexible, able to multitask and be able to work independently
