Certified Surgical Technologists (CSTs) often encounter challenges such as adapting quickly to unexpected changes during procedures, maintaining a sterile field under pressure, and effectively communicating with surgeons and the surgical team. These challenges are typically managed through rigorous training, strong attention to detail, and ongoing collaboration with team members. Many CSTs also participate in regular debriefings and continuing education to stay updated on best practices and improve their response to dynamic situations in the operating room.

What are CST Surgical Techs?

CST Surgical Techs, or Certified Surgical Technologists, are allied health professionals who assist surgeons, nurses, and other surgical team members in operating rooms. Their duties include preparing and sterilizing instruments, ensuring a sterile environment, passing instruments during surgeries, and helping with patient care before and after procedures.
