This role allows students to apply classroom knowledge in a real-world setting, developing essential skills for a career as a surgical technologist.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive in the Surgical Tech Student position, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Surgical Tech Student, you need foundational knowledge of sterile techniques, human anatomy, and medical terminology, usually acquired through an accredited surgical technology program. Familiarity with surgical instruments, operating room protocols, and simulation labs is essential, and students may be required to obtain Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
