Job description

Charge Capture Associate (Outpatient) (Contract) – California (93405)
  • Location: California, 93405

  • Pay Rate: $587 – $675 (weekly)

  • Schedule: 2nd Shift, 5x8s

    • Hours: 4:00 PM – 12:30 AM

    • Days: Typically Monday–Friday; weekends may be required

Position Requirements:
  • Strong data entry and attention to detail skills required

  • Experience with charge entry or billing in a healthcare setting preferred

  • Familiarity with revenue cycle operations preferred

  • Ability to follow structured procedures and work within defined guidelines

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review, analyze, and coordinate charge master activities

  • Accurately enter outpatient charges into billing systems

  • Collaborate with departments to ensure proper coding of billable items

  • Balance charge summaries to encounter forms prior to submission

  • Analyze reports and system edits to support billing accuracy

  • Assist with audits and process improvements within revenue cycle workflows

  • Communicate with supervisors regarding charge entry issues or discrepancies

  • Maintain compliance with organizational policies, procedures, and standards
