Job description

Our surgical coordinators are trusted advocates for out patients, acting as the main point of contact for them AND our providers to ensure timely and seamless coordination of surgical procedures. Our physicians currently perform procedures in our Ambulatory Surgery Center, as well as in both local hospitals. The ideal Candidate will have experience in scheduling surgical procedures in ASC or Hospital settings. On a typical day, you will complete 20-35 patients charts for surgery.

Our team of 5 Urologists and 1 Uro/Gyn deliver high quality care in a fast-paced environment, so our people need to be agile and adaptable to the growing needs of our practice to deliver the same. We do our best work when we collaborate, so the ideal candidate should be detail oriented and be able to work well across all levels of the organization. Range is dependent on skills, experience, and certifications, ranging from $19-$21 hourly.

Responsibilities:

The surgical coordinator 1 performs duties relevant to surgical operations. This position includes appointment reminders, surgery chart prep, confirming surgery authorizations, verifying surgical equipment for upcoming procedures and scheduling after surgery post op appointments.

Work Experience:

Must have minimum of 2 years of experience in Medical or hospital scheduling.

Education:

High school diploma or GED required.

Skills:

-Strong communication, organization and critical thinking skills.

-Must be Bilingual in English and Spanish

-Must have reliable, working transportation.

-Proficient in computers and relevant software applications and medical technology.

-Must be flexible and can multitask.

-Ability to assimilate information and make decisions based on office guidelines.
