Role Summary

The Electronics Test Technician supports the development, validation, and manufacturing of Waterpik products by performing hands-on testing, troubleshooting, and repair of electronic systems, subassemblies, and devices. The Electronics Test Technician will help design tests to improve product reliability. This role works closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality teams to ensure reliable, compliant, and high-quality electronic designs from prototype builds through production support.

Role Accountabilities and Responsibilities
  • Build, modify, and repair electronic prototypes, fixtures, and production units using schematics and work instructions.

  • Perform functional and electrical testing on PCBAs, power systems, motors, sensors, and embedded electronics.

  • Troubleshoot electronic hardware failures at the component, board, and system level.

  • Differentiate user-induced damage from manufacturing and design issues.

  • Support Engineering, Quality, and Customer Care with field failure insights (IPC-A-610, J-STD-001 workmanship)

  • Assist with development of work instructions and test procedures.

  • Support compliance activities related to product safety standards.

  • Document findings, test results, and corrective actions.

Operating Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Understand and use electronic circuit design, test and debug principles.

  • Understand and use single board computer systems to drive automated test fixtures and collect data.

  • Knowledge of LabVIEW

  • Knowledge of electronics hardware and programming.

  • Knowledge of electrical / electronic product testing is preferred

  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics

  • Hands-on soldering and rework experience (through-hole and surface mount).

  • Use of test equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and power supplies.

  • Familiar with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Teams, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint)

Education and Experience
  • A two year electronics degree or equivalent technical certification.

  • A minimum of 3 years' electronics technician experience preferred.

  • Experience Requirements:

  • Experience in product development or manufacturing environments preferred.

  • Familiarity with UL, CE, or similar regulatory standards is a plus

  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.

Work Environment
  • The position is based onsite, with attendance required Monday through Friday

Physical Requirements

  • The role involves a combination of physical activities throughout the workday, including approximately 60% sitting, 40% standing, and intermittent walking as needed to perform job duties.

  • Use of proper personal protective equipment (PPE) isrequired at all timeswhile working in designated lab and shop areas.

  • The employee must be able to work safely in environments that may include equipment, tools, and other operational hazards, following all established safety procedures and protocols.

Salary and Benefits

The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal pay parity. Compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate.

The US base hourly pay range for this full-time position is $30 - $35.13 with bonus eligibility when applicable.
