Job description

We are looking for a general manager and sales floor professionals with experience in retail. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 yearsโ€™ experience in the retail space with experience in managing people. With that said we are able to train candidates that have the right stuff. A passion for paddle or wind sports is key.

Job Duties

ยท Manage and Motivate a staff of 8-10 people

ยท Produce and Maintain Staff Scheduling

ยท Oversight of daily rental operations

ยท Oversight of daily retail operations

ยท Ownership of inventory accuracy& all product receiving

ยท Ecommerce order processing

ยท Retail Sales

ยท Optional if qualified โ€“ SUP or Kayak Instruction

ยท Optional is qualified โ€“ Tour Guide Lead

Overview

ยท 5 Days a week / 40 hours a week with a flex schedule option

ยท Working at least 2-4 weekend

ยท 10 days paid vacation.

ยท Annual bonus commensurate with personal performance in concert with business performance.

101 Surf Sports is a multi-sports watersports Super Store located in San Rafael, Ca. We offer lessons, rentals, and sales from the top brands in the industry. With a landmark shop located right on the water our focus is on a world class experience for our customers. While we support many sports the primary driver of the business is paddle sports.
The sports we support include SUP, Surfski, Kayak, Wingsurfing, Foiling, Outrigger Canoe, Surfing, and prone paddleboarding. Unlike most shops our focus is on hard goods and technical apparel over lifestyle goods so technical product knowledge is a plus.
