The company's work environment and employee satisfaction can vary, so researching reviews and company culture is recommended for potential applicants.

What are Moonlight Security professionals?

Moonlight Security professionals are individuals who provide security services outside of their primary job, often during nighttime hours or as a supplementary role. They may work for security companies, private clients, or businesses to ensure the safety of property, people, or events during evenings or weekends. These professionals typically handle tasks such as monitoring premises, controlling access, responding to incidents, and reporting suspicious activities. Moonlight Security roles are often part-time or on-call, making them popular for those seeking additional income or flexible schedules.

Is moonlighting illegal in the US?

Moonlighting, or working a second job outside of your primary employment, is generally legal in the US for security professionals including those in security roles like Moonlight Security. However, employees should review their employment contracts for non-compete or conflict-of-interest clauses, and some employers may have policies restricting outside work. It is advisable to disclose secondary employment if required and ensure it does not interfere with job performance or violate any contractual obligations.

Familiarity with security systems such as CCTV, access control, and incident reporting software is typically required. Strong observation skills, attention to detail, and effective communication are crucial soft skills for this role. These abilities are vital for maintaining safety, preventing incidents, and ensuring effective response during emergencies.
