Overview
Carle Health is seeking a BE/BC Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Geriatric Medicine physician to join our established practice in Urbana, Illinois.
Opportunity Details
  • Join four Geriatricians who support nursing home rounds, along with 7 APPs, and 3 full-time nursing staff
  • Primary responsibilities include overseeing patient care at area nursing homes in post acute care, long term care, and assisted living/memory care
  • Planned schedule is Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.
  • Family Medicine or Internal Medicine candidates with significant Geriatrics experience or a Fellowship trained Geriatrician candidate are welcome to apply
  • Hospital practice is not required
  • Work in close collaboration with APP team to manage patients' needs
  • Physicians will be on call for their nursing home patients during the workday week as needed however APPs handle majority of calls
  • Physicians Rotate "MD Backup Call" between the 4 Geriatricians serving as a resource to APPs as needed for nights/weekends
  • Service uses Electronic Medical Record which is also utilized by local area hospitals
  • Part-time positions available
  • Opportunity for academic and/or research affiliation with the Carle Illinois College of Medicine, the nation's first medical school focused at the intersection of healthcare and engineering
  • Opportunity to teach Internal Medicine residents with the Carle Internal Medicine Residency Program
  • Optional opportunity to moonlight with Carle's urgent care for extra income

Compensation and Benefits
The compensation range for this position is $310,000 - $315,000. This represents a good faith minimum and maximum range for the role at the time of posting by Carle Health. The actual compensation offered a candidate will be dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's experience, qualifications, location, training, licenses, shifts worked and compensation model.
