Job Overview

As a Lead Logistics Specialist, you will serve as a senior logistics professional responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing logistics activities that support the acquisition, fielding, operation, sustainment, and lifecycle management of mission-critical systems.

You will work closely with program managers, engineers, customers, vendors, and support personnel to develop logistics strategies, improve readiness, optimize supportability, and ensure mission success. This position offers the opportunity to influence the full lifecycle of complex systems while helping organizations improve efficiency, effectiveness, and operational performance.

What You'll Do

  • Plan, develop, implement, and manage integrated logistics support (ILS) strategies and activities
  • Support system acquisition, deployment, operation, maintenance, and sustainment efforts
  • Analyze logistics requirements and develop recommendations to improve readiness, availability, and supportability
  • Develop and maintain logistics documentation, plans, reports, and support packages
  • Coordinate logistics activities involving provisioning, inventory management, transportation, warehousing, and supply support
  • Support lifecycle management and sustainment planning for systems and equipment
  • Monitor logistics performance and identify opportunities for process improvement
  • Evaluate logistics support concepts and recommend solutions that improve efficiency and effectiveness
  • Coordinate with program managers, engineers, customers, vendors, and support personnel to ensure logistics requirements are met
  • Support maintenance planning, technical data management, and configuration management activities
  • Prepare logistics analyses, metrics, briefings, and status reports
  • Ensure logistics activities comply with contractual, regulatory, and organizational requirements
  • Provide guidance and expertise on logistics planning, sustainment, and lifecycle support activities

What You Bring

Required Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, Management, or a related discipline
  • Ten (10) years of experience in integrated logistics support, logistics management, supply chain management, lifecycle support, sustainment planning, or a related field
  • Knowledge of integrated logistics support (ILS) principles and best practices
  • Knowledge of supply chain management, provisioning, inventory management, and sustainment planning
  • Knowledge of lifecycle management concepts and logistics support analysis methodologies
  • Knowledge of maintenance planning and supportability considerations
  • Ability to analyze logistics requirements and develop effective support strategies
  • Ability to evaluate logistics performance and recommend process improvements
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to prepare reports, logistics plans, and briefings
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and coordinate activities among diverse stakeholders
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and logistics management tools
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance if required

Preferred Experience

  • Advanced training or professional coursework in acquisition logistics, lifecycle management, supply chain management, or sustainment planning
