Job description

Bridges International is the oldest and most successful private non-profit provider of re-entry services in the state of Florida, providing a continuum of care in Residential Substance Abuse Treatment Programs, Transition Centers, and Community Release Centers, for ex- offenders and probation populations. At Bridges of America we “Believe a Man Can Change. “Join us in changing lives at our Orlando Bridge Non-Secure location. We are looking for individuals with strong leadership skills and a passion for inspiring, helping and challenging people and we want you to be a part of our Operations team as an Program Support Supervisor.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

  1. Train, supervise, and schedule all program support staff and Transportation Technician.
  2. Supervise client population at all times, including meals, work periods, visitation, community passes and furloughs.
  3. Conduct intake on clients when necessary.
  4. Evaluate all program support staff and Transportation Technician after probationary period, and then annually thereafter.
  5. Discipline all program support staff and Transportation Technician as necessary.
  6. Organize and facilitate staff meetings with program support staff at least monthly.
  7. Implement security and operation policies and procedures as mandated by The Company.
  8. Ensure safety and welfare of clients, staff and visitors.
  9. Delegate responsibility for the operation and security of the center.
  10. Conduct all counts, according to written policy, when necessary.
  11. Facilitate safety and emergency procedures as set by The Company standards.
  12. Conduct all written facilities inspections required by The Company standards.
  13. Participate in monthly department head meetings with the Executive Director and weekly clinical staff meetings.
  14. Supervise all The Company required documentation.
  15. Maintain the cleanliness and maintenance of all facility building and grounds.
  16. Be available to work all shifts to ensure proper coverage per contract and policy standards.
  17. Clock in and out utilizing the company time and attendance system.
  18. Must be able to perform the major functions of job with or without an accommodation.
  19. Required to attend all mandatory training specified by policy.
  20. Must be able to speak, read, write and understand English.
  21. Report all Workers Compensation injuries, whether they require medical attention or not, to the Business Administrator or Executive Director immediately.
  22. Report all breaches of company policy or code of ethics that you have knowledge of, hear about or see regardless of who is involved in the breach to the Executive Director. Or the HR Department when necessary.
  23. Report all unsafe conditions that could affect clients/inmates or employees which you become aware of immediately to your immediate supervisor.
  24. To be eligible for a promotion you must demonstrate organizational abilities and must have good written and oral communication skills.
  25. Ensure that all applicable policies and procedures that fall within the scope of this job description are followed and adhered to.
  26. Perform other related duties as assigned by immediate supervisor.

The following qualifications apply:

  • A minimum of a High School diploma or GED required
  • Four (4) years of experience in the delivery of services to residents, offenders or inmates in the care, custody, or supervision of a federal, state or local criminal justice system.
  • Bachelor’s Degree may substitute for two (2) years of the required experience.
