Job description

This position is located at: NAF Support Services - Fort Irwin, California.
Join our team at Fort Irwin National Training Center. DFMWR integrates and delivers Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation programs and services enabling readiness and resilience for a globally-responsive Army.
This is announcement will have a cutoff on 7/28/2026 . Any qualified applicants on the cutoff date will be forwarded to management first.Qualifications:Resumes must be two pages (or less). Resumes should clearly demonstrate the applicant's relevant experience, skills, knowledge and abilities as they pertain to this position.
A qualified candidate must possess the following:
Knowledge and understanding of support services principles, practices, methods, and techniques required for the provision of a comprehensive support services essential to the operation of an organization. Candidates must have progressively responsible work experience that includes a practical application of the above described or related work experience. Demonstrated work experience must be equivalent to at least the next lower pay level. Must have knowledge of military administrative management policy and procedures. Must be able to communicate in a clear, concise, and grammatically correct manner and be able to write clearly and concisely. Must know how to design and manage recurring reports and create and manage electronic databases.
Highly Preferred Criteria:
Highly preferred candidates will be referred to management first. In addition to meeting the above qualifications, highly preferred is defined as also meeting any of the criteria listed below:
  • Two (2) or more years of Office Manager or Operations Officer experience or in a similar position.
  • Two (2) or more years experience supervising a team of office/administrative personnel of 3 or more staff.
  • Subject Matter Expertise in Microsoft Office Suite programs and Microsoft Teams.
