Job description

Job Description:

Under the direction of the Superintendent of Maintenance, or designee, the Servicer is responsible for daily servicing of Pace vehicles including fueling, cleaning, and maintaining proper fluid and fuel levels including but not limited to:

  1. Accurately recording fuel and fluid information.
  2. Supporting the out-stationed bus fleet, operating and servicing (washrack/cleaner).
  3. Emptying farebox vaults and taking farebox readings.
  4. Parking and spotting vehicles and equipment.
  5. Maintaining bulletins, flyers and other materials on vehicles.
  6. Routine cleaning of vehicles, building, grounds, and equipment utilized in performing these duties.
  7. Building custodial duties including snow removal, cleaning, painting, and groundskeeping.
  8. Completing all required documents and reports for work performed.
  9. Performing other duties as assigned or required.

Qualifications

Age:

18+.

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience:

Must have at least one (1) year previous experience in diesel and gasoline vehicle repair and/or relevant technical school training. 

Certifications:

Must have or be able to obtain within 60 days of being hired, a valid "B" Commercial Driver's License with passenger and air brake endorsements.

Proficiencies:

Must be able to operate all company equipment and have knowledge of the service area.

Physical Requirements:

Must be capable of lifting 75 pounds to waist height, maintaining and carrying that weight for a minimum of ten feet.

Working Conditions:

Work is performed in a garage setting with exposure to loud noises and noxious odors, and outdoors with exposure to inclement weather. The performance of these duties may be required 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. This position is not eligible for hybrid work schedule or telecommuting. This is a safety-sensitive position.

Salary:

$22.54/hr 

This is a bargained-for position subject to the terms of a Collective Bargaining Agreement.
