Gnostech is seeking a Congressional Support Analyst to provide a variety of support and analysis to the F-35 JPO community. This is a full-time position. Responsibilities and Qualifications will include but are not limited to:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support the drafting, development, and coordination and preparation of staffing papers and packages in response to Congressional Staff and Congressional inquiries to include:
    • Coordination with the responsible stakeholder to draft the inquiry response;
    • Analysis to determine if the response satisfies the inquiry's requirement; and
    • Submission of executive level response to the F-35 Executive Leadership Team.
  • Provide quick turn analysis on F-35 programmatic/financial impacts of Congressional bills.
  • Attend Congressional hearings and briefings with the F-35 staff.
  • Provide meeting minutes and record actions. Ensure actions are tracked to completion.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

  •  This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
  • Familiarity with congressional hearing procedures.
  • Familiarity with reviewing and interpreting statutory and legislative language for operational impact.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • BA/BS and 5 years of experience performing duties described in the description.
  • AA/AS degree accepted in lieu of BA/BS with accompanying 5 years of experience performing the duties described in the duties and responsibilities of this position.
  • GED/Diploma accepted in lieu of BA/BS with accompanying 10 years of experience performing the duties and responsibilities of this position.

Desired Experience

  • Demonstrated experience working on or with Capitol Hill, in a legislative affairs or policy role within a federal agency, or in a government relations role with a mix of government and defense or private sector experience.

Minimum Security Clearance

  • Current active Secret Clearance
