About the Role
Miebach Consulting is seeking a Supply Chain Planning Manager to strengthen our North American Planning practice. This role is focused on helping clients improve and transform their end-to-end planning capabilities across supply planning, MRP, inventory optimization, and S&OP/IBP processes.
As a Planning Manager, you will lead high-impact consulting engagements, collaborate with client leadership teams, and help organizations improve service levels, inventory performance, operational agility, and decision-making through advanced planning processes and digital planning solutions.
The ideal candidate combines strong supply chain planning expertise with consulting, analytics, and stakeholder management capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
Supply Planning & Transformation
  • Lead and execute supply chain planning transformation projects across industries including manufacturing, retail, consumer goods, industrial products, and life sciences.
  • Design and optimize planning processes including:
    • Material Requirements Planning (MRP)
    • Supply Planning
    • Inventory Planning & Optimization
    • Production Planning
    • Replenishment Planning
    • Capacity Planning
    • S&OP / Integrated Business Planning (IBP)
    • Scenario & contingency planning
  • Assess current-state planning maturity and develop actionable improvement roadmaps.
  • Improve planning parameters including safety stock strategies, lead times, lot sizing, inventory policies, and planning master data governance.
  • Support clients in stabilizing planning outputs and improving alignment across procurement, manufacturing, logistics, and commercial functions.
  • Analyze operational and planning data to identify inefficiencies, variability, constraints, and improvement opportunities.
APS & Digital Planning Solutions
  • Support implementation and optimization of APS and digital planning platforms such as: Kinaxis RapidResponse, Blue Yonder, o9 Solutions, OMP, Anaplan.
  • Translate business requirements into functional planning solutions and system designs.
  • Collaborate with digital and technical teams to support solution deployment, testing, and adoption.
  • Develop KPI dashboards, reporting structures, and planning analytics to support data-driven decision-making.
Client Leadership & Advisory
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to client planning, operations, and supply chain leadership teams.
  • Facilitate workshops, executive presentations, and stakeholder alignment sessions.
  • Lead project workstreams, manage deliverables, and ensure projects are completed on time and within scope.
  • Develop data-driven recommendations and communicate findings clearly to both operational and executive audiences.
  • Support business development activities including proposals, client presentations, and opportunity identification.
Team Development & Collaboration
  • Mentor consultants and analysts on planning methodologies, analytical approaches, and supply chain best practices.
  • Contribute to internal capability building, knowledge-sharing initiatives, and thought leadership development.
  • Collaborate across Miebach's Strategy, Engineering, and Digital teams to deliver integrated client solutions.

Qualifications
Required
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Operations, Business, or a related field.
  • 6+ years of experience in:
    • Supply Planning
    • MRP / Production Planning
    • Inventory Planning
    • S&OP / IBP
    • Supply Chain Consulting
    • APS implementation or optimization
  • Strong understanding of end-to-end supply chain planning processes and operating models.
  • Experience leading cross-functional initiatives or consulting projects.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with experience working with large and complex datasets.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Willingness to travel based on client and project requirements.
Preferred
  • Consulting experience within supply chain, operations, or transformation environments.
  • Experience with ERP and APS planning systems.
  • APICS / ASCM certifications such as CPIM or CSCP.
  • Experience with Power BI, SQL, Python, or planning analytics tools.
  • MBA or Master's degree in Supply Chain, Operations, or related field.
