Job Brief
We have continued to grow our team and we are now looking to add a dynamic Director of Supply Chain to our staff. The successful Supply Chain Manager is responsible for establishing meaningful inventory sources, negotiating pricing on surplus/overstock purchase, and establishing standard retail pricing. Additionally, this role will interface significantly with the CFO and CEO. This role is remote, with up to 1 week in office per quarter possible and rare travel for trade shows and vendor meetings.
Responsibilities
  • Engaged with supply partners and pursuing inventory opportunities
  • Create and deploy a systematic approach to inventory acquisition via outreach and inbound inquiries
  • Protect and support margin with strategic purchasing and bidding on overstock inventory
  • Strategically place inventory across our warehouse network for optimal sell through
  • Track and maintain accountability on purchased equipment, monitoring POs and ensuring maximum delivery quantity
  • Negotiate supply contracts, whether on the individual purchase or larger relationships
  • Technical resource for Sales organization on equipment and parts
  • Assist in commercial readiness of purchased goods
  • Compile vendor scorecards as directed by VP, Supply Chain
  • Use HVAC experience to help guide the Supply organization
  • Assist in the development of other Supply staff members
  • Assist VP, Supply Chain in Surplus City SIOP (Sales, Inventory, Operations Planning)
  • Communicate with customers, vendors, and team to meet commitments.
  • Ensure records are maintained and reports are completed in a timely manner
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures as outlined and detailed in the Employee Handbook
  • Any additional responsibilities as assigned by the VP, Supply Chain.

Requirements & Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business or related field or the equivalent in related work experience, MBA a plus
  • 5+ years experience in HVAC, either manufacturing or distribution Value Chain
  • 3+ years experience in Value Chain/Supply Chain roles
  • Knowledge of ERP and systems
  • Working knowledge and exposure to forecast, sales, and operational planning system and tools
  • Strong PC skills (MS Suite), including proficiency in Excel
  • Fundamental knowledge of employment law required
  • Experience developing collaborative partnerships at all levels of an organization, both internally and externally
  • Excellent communication, internal customer service, and organizational skills
  • Proven problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to work independently and drive results with minimal direct supervision
  • Travel will be less than 15% of this role, but ability to travel to vendor sites and trade shows periodically
  • Work in an office setting
  • Sit at a desk and operate a computer for extended periods of time
