Ashley Furniture Industries, LLC has multiple openings for Principal Modelers - Supply Chain Optimization in Tampa, FL.
Utilize optimization engines and statistical techniques to make network design strategic recommendations. Build network tools, applications, and models to optimize cost, flow, and inventory through the supply chain from factory to store. Build models to support Safety Stock Inventory and Transportation Routing Optimization. Use Machine Learning and AI techniques to enhance optimization models. Track the effectiveness and impact of the recommendations being implemented using KPIs and analytics. Work with data services team and statistical analysts on complex, analytical data modeling such as attachment and affinity. Ensure optimization tools are fully leveraged to provide the insights needed to drive performance. Interface closely with technology partners to manage optimization solvers and develop production applications. Execute and evaluate appropriate analyses such as cluster analysis, logistic/linear regression, collaborative filtering, and linear optimization given an array of tactical and strategic objectives. Design reports and dashboards for consumption by the business; oversee the development for production. Document, share, and train best practices among team and with business partners. Keep up to date on best visualization practices and dashboard designs. Maintain standardized templates for reports and dashboards, ensure consistency of reporting. Define data needs and sources; evaluate data quality and work with data services team to extract, transform, and load data for analytic discovery projects. Analyze initiatives and events utilizing transaction-level data. Occasional Domestic Travel (5% of the time).
Job Requirements
Position requires a Master's Degree in Business Analytics, Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, Supply Chain Management, or a related field and 2 years of experience working with supply chain network optimization models or related.
Also, must have experience in:
  • Building Network Optimization tools in Python coding using packages including pandas, numpy and pulp;
  • Automation of Jupyter notebooks codes in Databricks and VS code;
  • Managing solvers like Gurobi for use in Network, Planning and Order fulfillment optimization models;
  • Supply Chain Network Optimization tools including Llamasoft and Riverlogic;
  • Querying on relational databases using SQL;
  • Data Visualization tools including Tableau or Power BI; and
  • Microsoft Excel functions including Solver, Macros, and data analysis.
