Job Summary

Responsible for supporting the Supply Chain Optimization leader by working cross-functionally with Transportation, Supply Chain Finance, and Category Management teams to drive data-driven decision-making and optimize end-to-end supply chain operations from supplier to customer. Identifies and implements opportunities to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service levels throughout the entire value chain network. Hires, trains, and mentors a team of Supply Chain Optimization Analysts and/or Specialists.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities

  • Supports cross-functional initiatives to optimize the complete supply chain flow from supplier integration through customer delivery. Supports process implementation to improve Supply Chain efficiency across the supplier-to-customer network.

  • Maintains optimization models to support strategic decision-making across supply chain functions, including supplier management and customer service metrics.

  • Collaborates with Finance teams to analyze cost drivers, develop business cases, and track ROI on supply chain initiatives.

  • Coordinates with Finance to establish and track supply chain cost allocation methodologies related to defined solutions.

  • Partners with Category Management teams to support data-driven supply chain decisions and negotiations.

  • Creates financial models and scenarios to evaluate supply chain optimization opportunities.

  • Identifies opportunities for cost reduction and service improvement through data Understanding and process optimization.

  • Manages and mentors junior team members while establishing clear roles and responsibilities.

Nature and Scope

  • Consults with senior management on solution development for complex strategic and technical business issues. Independently solvesunique and complex problems that have a broad impact on the business. Assignments are large scope, high impact, high cost, and highimportance.

  • Establishes operational plans for assigned area. Acts as a strategic advisor and uses expert skills to contribute to the development of strategiccompany objectives. Receives general administrative and business direction as needed. Typically operates with broad latitude in a complexenvironment.

  • Guides andmentorsstaff at all levels, provides advice to senior management on complex and strategic issues, and may lead or managecomplex projects with dotted line responsibility.

Work Environment

  • Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.

  • Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.

  • Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.

Education and Experience

  • Typically requires a bachelor's degree and 10+ years of experience in a related field OR MS/MA and generally 8+ years of experience in a related field. Maintains expert knowledge in area of responsibility with a strong understanding in adjacent areas for thedevelopment of creativesolutions.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in Category Management, Purchasing, DC Operations, Transportation, and/or other Supply Chain functions.

  • Experience managing the performance and development of technical professionals.

  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, SQL, Power BI and other data visualization tools.

  • Certification in Supply Chain Management (CPIM, CSCP, or similar). Experience with supply chain optimization software.

  • Strong understanding of statistical analysis and forecasting methods. Knowledge of inventory management principles and practices.

  • Proficiency in financial modeling and analysis, understanding of working capital management.

  • Experience with machine learning and predictive analytics.
