SCOPE OF POSITION:

The Senior Analyst, Supply Chain Optimization role requires a unique combination of strategic and tactical skills that will enable the successful candidate to significantly impact the company's transformation and projected growth. Specifically, the associate will focus on driving optimization for the newly launched Fresh Breadbox program. A key element of this role will be to optimize inventory and supply management to support the frozen Breadbox portfolio. The role is also responsible for monitoring customer and market demand, while maintaining production plans & stock levels across 15+ bakeries and regional distribution centers. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in delivering insight with a firm grounding in analytical thinking and planning for multiple locations. The candidate must also demonstrate strong collaboration and clear communication to meet deliverables.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Plan inventory to determine appropriate levels, taking corrective action when inventory position is long or short.
  • Schedule finished goods production and develop monthly purchase plans for assigned product groups.
  • Supply recommendations are based upon scheduling parameters and system settings that are developed and maintained to support sales goals, financial inventory targets and meet shelf-life guarantees to the customers.
  • Coordinate activity that impacts Bimbo Bakeries USA ability to maintain sufficient product supply, ensuring communication with Customer Service, Sales, Marketing, and other internal customers.
  • Responsible for analysis of seasonal inventory builds by examining manufacturing capacity and understanding customer needs.
  • Lead S&OP process and model scenarios to understand the impact of supply and demand fluctuations.
  • Assist with new product launches to ensure product is available on-time from an inventory management perspective.
  • Responsible for portfolio service levels by analyzing root causes of shortages for future prevention.
  • Coordinate replenishment of finished goods inventory across both corporate and 3rd party distribution centers.
  • Reconcile and maintain inventory accuracy between Bakehouse systems and 3PL WMS.
  • Proactively implement processes, platforms, and tools to improve operational effectiveness and inventory accuracy.

SKILLS/PROFICIENCIES:
  • System skills to manage demand planning tasks using planning applications, ERP, and data warehousing/ancillary systems (Oracle Cloud base Planning & ERP systems)

  • Preferrable applicable certifications: Six Sigma, APICS; CPIM/CSCP
  • Detailed and result-orientated project management on several projects at the same time.
  • Good organizational skills and the ability to prioritize workload
EXPERIENCE:

5-10 years of experience in Supply Chain optimization —preferably in food and beverage sector Business or Operations experience, with solid quantitative skills Candidate must have a practical business background, including management principles in resource allocation, strategic planning, collaboration, production, and exposure to various replenishment models Working knowledge of consumer, food manufacturing and supply chain Detailed knowledge of logistics and planning/inventory management processes Microsoft office (Outlook, Word, Advanced Excel, Power Point, Intermediate Access)

EDUCATION:

Bachelor's Degree in Operations Management, Supply Chain, or Business-related field required Specialized studies in forecasting, modeling, data mining, and/or statistics are highly preferred
