Monday - Friday Days, 10AM-6:30PM & Every 3rd weekend rotation

Summary:
The Supply Chain Operations Supervisor is a frontline leader within the Supply Chain Department, responsible for overseeing supply chain logistics, inventory management, and vendor coordination across hospital locations. This role supports cost-effective, efficient delivery of supplies and services that directly impact patient care. The Operations Supervisor leads day-to-day operations, promotes service excellence, and drives continuous improvement through collaboration and performance accountability.
Responsibilities:
1. Develops relationships and collaborates by communicating effectively within the organization by managing and advising on all operational functions.
2. Manages a system-wide approach for end-to-end supply chain operations integration that delivers customer service and proactively communicates with key stakeholders to build credibility and foster relationships with efficient staffing and productivity. Assists with coordinating, managing, and evaluating supply chain personnel and prepares schedule for the on-site operations.
3. Leads a high-performing supply chain team, fostering engagement, accountability, and a culture of continuous improvement to meet the organization's goals and expectations.
4. Directly responsible to ensure compliance to standards, policies, and procedures, for all aspects of inventory management and logistics activities including risk management, demand planning, forecasting, and emergency preparedness to mitigate product disruptions.
5. Performs supplier management including but not limited to the oversight of vendor access and credentialing program and addressing any issues such as product backorders and recalls and ensures items built in the systems are accurate and complete.
6. Identifies facility supply expense variances, ensures expense management, and implements strategies to meet core metrics.
7. Ensure adherence to legal, regulatory, and ethical standards, mitigating risk while promoting supply chain integrity and compliance. Accountable for compliance with scope of responsibility for DNV, Joint Commission, and other regulatory requirements for supply management at the facilities overseen
8. Provides oversight of acute and non-acute inventories and implements Lean projects, operational efficiencies, automation opportunities, best practices, and emergent supply disruptions to enhance supply chain performance.
9. Fulfills the consistency and evolution of a supply chain operations vision, strategic plan, and annual operating plan, including inventory management, direct and indirect material purchasing, and capital.
10. Other duties including participating on project teams as assigned.
Other information:
Technical Expertise
1. Knowledge of hospital logistics, receiving, and inventory management practices.
2. Proficient in ERP systems, supply chain analytics, and Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Outlook, Word).
3. Familiarity with Lean process improvement and basic data analysis.
4. Ability to lead a team, manage schedules, and communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.
5. Experience with regulatory compliance (e.g., Joint Commission, DNV) in healthcare settings is preferred.
Education and Experience
1. Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
2. Certification: Professional certifications or credentials such as LPN/RN, Certified Materials and Resource Professional (CMRP), or Certified Value Analysis Health Professional (CVAHP) are preferred.
3. Previous Experience: 3 years of relevant supply chain experience required, in healthcare preferred.
4. Supervisor experience: None.
