Basic Function
SB Energy is seeking a highly strategic and operationally driven Director, Supply Chain Operations & Governance to build and lead a centralized supply chain operations organization supporting the deployment of next-generation AI factory and advanced data center infrastructure programs.
Reporting to the Head of Supply Chain, this role will establish and oversee core operational governance functions across supply chain systems, data and analytics, logistics coordination, import compliance, purchase order administration, and contract administration. This leader will be responsible for building scalable operational infrastructure, processes, reporting frameworks, and governance models that improve visibility, execution consistency, compliance, and operational performance across a rapidly growing infrastructure portfolio.
The Director will serve as a key operational integration point between supply chain, finance, legal, engineering, construction, project controls, logistics providers, suppliers, and digital systems teams to ensure effective management of supply chain operations throughout the infrastructure deployment lifecycle.
This role will also lead the development of centralized supply chain data platforms, analytics capabilities, KPI reporting, logistics visibility tools, operational controls, and governance frameworks supporting enterprise-wide decision-making and deployment readiness.
The ideal candidate combines strong supply chain operational leadership, systems and analytics expertise, governance experience, program management capabilities, and organizational development skills within complex infrastructure, industrial, manufacturing, energy, or mission-critical environments.
Responsibilities
  • Build and lead the Supply Chain Operations & Governance organization supporting hyperscale AI infrastructure and data center deployment programs
  • Establish scalable operational governance frameworks supporting supply chain execution, compliance, reporting, logistics coordination, and supplier operational management
  • Develop business processes that support rapid infrastructure deployment growth across multiple projects and regions
  • Serve as the operational governance lead across supply chain functions, ensuring alignment between sourcing, logistics, finance, legal, project controls, engineering, and construction stakeholders
  • Build and manage a supply chain systems and data science team focused on operational visibility, predictive analytics, reporting automation, and decision support tools
  • Establish enterprise data governance standards, reporting structures, KPI frameworks, and operational analytics processes
  • Develop and maintain real-time operational visibility tools supporting: Supplier manufacturing status, delivery milestones, logistics tracking, OFCI financial commitments, inventory and staging visibility, schedule risk monitoring, asset tracking and deployment readiness
  • Oversee centralized logistics governance, import compliance, logistics risks, and coordination activities supporting inbound infrastructure equipment deliveries
  • Lead centralized PO and contract administration functions supporting supply chain operations and infrastructure deployment programs
  • Coordinate closely with sourcing, legal, finance, project controls, and project execution teams to maintain operational and contractual alignment
  • Support audit readiness, documentation controls, and operational compliance requirements
  • Develop and manage supply chain KPIs, operational scorecards, executive dashboards, and performance reporting frameworks
  • Conduct operational reviews and provide executive-level reporting, trend analysis, and improvement recommendations
  • Drive accountability frameworks and continuous improvement initiatives across supply chain operations

Qualifications/Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain, Operations, Engineering, Business, Industrial Engineering, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or related field required; advanced degree preferred
  • 12+ years of experience in supply chain operations, operational governance, logistics, systems management, analytics, program management, or related infrastructure delivery environments
  • Demonstrated experience building operational governance organizations, centralized support functions, or supply chain operations teams
  • Strong experience with supply chain systems, ERP platforms, analytics tools, dashboards, reporting environments, and operational data management
  • Experience leading supply chain analytics, reporting automation, KPI management, or data science initiatives preferred
  • Familiarity with logistics coordination, import/export compliance, customs processes, HTS classifications, and global trade operations
  • Experience managing PO administration, contract administration, operational controls, or commercial governance processes
  • Strong cross-functional leadership experience coordinating with sourcing, legal, finance, engineering, construction, and supplier organizations
  • Experience supporting large-scale infrastructure, industrial, manufacturing, energy, data center, or mission-critical construction programs strongly preferred
  • Strong analytical, executive communication, organizational leadership, and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to travel domestically as required to supplier facilities, project sites, and operational meetings

Location: Atlanta, GA or Hybrid role near one of SB Energy's office locations: San Francisco Bay Area, CA; Denver, CO; or San Diego, CA. Remote locations within the United States will also be considered on a case by case basis.
Base Pay - $190,000 - $220,000
The pay range mentioned above is a guideline. We tailor each offer based on your unique skills, experience, location, and market benchmarks-while ensuring internal parity across our teams. In addition to competitive base pay, total compensation may include a discretionary annual bonus and a market leading comprehensive health and wellness benefits package.
