The Role:The Operations Leadership Development Program (OLDP) is a comprehensive three-year rotationalprogram designed to cultivate the next generation of passionate leaders in Operations and Supply Chain Management. Driven by excellence, the program is aligned with Xylem's mission to solve the world's toughest water challenges.

The program is intended to accelerate professional development of recent university graduates eager to develop their skills in a dynamic and challenging environment. Participants are challenged technically, provided significant leadership exposure, training and development opportunities - all within critical business assignments.

Program Structure:

Participants will engage in three one-year rotational assignments across various functions within Operations and Procurement-Supply Chain. Each rotation is strategically designed to provide broad exposure to different aspects of the business, ensuring a well-rounded understanding of the field. Rotations may include Continuous Improvement and Lean Manufacturing, Materials Management, Front Line Supervisor, Purchasing and Supplier Management, Production Planning and Control, Logistics and Distribution.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Execute Rotational Assignments:Plan and perform assigned tasks within the framework of program rotation. The Rotational assignments are intended to provide a broad exposure to the operations field leading to successful off program placement.

  • Achieve Performance Goals: Complete assignment objectives on schedule, within budget, with higher-than-expected quality while maintaining accuracy and thoroughness. Deliver on established key performance indicators established at the beginning on the rotation and show stair step improvement in functional operations.

  • Engage in Training and Development:Participate in technical and leadership training programs, including certifications in relevant areas.

  • Apply Analytical Skills:Utilize analytical and problem-solving skills to address operational challenges and propose innovative solutions. Demonstrate ability to understand and apply Operations engineering fundamentals in the business environment.

  • Collaborate with Teams:Work effectively with cross-functional teams, building strong relationships and contributing to team success.

  • Active participation in performance evaluations: Engage in regular performance evaluations, coaching, and mentoring sessions to support professional growth.

  • Contribute to Watermark Initiatives:Participate in company-sponsored volunteer activities and community engagement programs.

Qualifications:

  • Educational Background:Bachelor's Degree in an Operations-related field (e.g., Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Manufacturing Engineering, Lean Manufacturing).

  • Academic Achievement:Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0.

  • Relevant Experience:Prior internship or co-op experience in a manufacturing, operations, or supply chain environment.
