Maintenance Supervisor

The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for leading maintenance operations to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable equipment performance while minimizing downtime. This role oversees preventive maintenance programs, repairs, team development, and continuous improvement initiatives.

The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for leading maintenance operations to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable equipment performance while minimizing downtime. This role oversees preventive maintenance programs, repairs, team development, and continuous improvement initiatives.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise maintenance staff, assigning and prioritizing daily maintenance activities.
  • Manage preventive maintenance programs and ensure all scheduled work is completed on time.
  • Coordinate equipment setup, troubleshooting, repairs, and facility maintenance.
  • Oversee spare parts inventory, procurement, and stock control.
  • Respond to equipment breakdowns and emergency maintenance situations.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, GMP standards, and company policies.
  • Coordinate work with external contractors and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.
  • Manage staffing, scheduling, attendance, and employee development.
  • Support budgeting, continuous improvement initiatives, and operational efficiency projects.
  • Participate in health and safety programs and cross-functional meetings.


Qualifications

  • Diploma or degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering discipline is an asset.
  • Minimum 5 years of maintenance supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably within food & beverage, pharmaceutical, chemical, or consumer goods industries.
  • Strong knowledge of preventive maintenance programs, OHSA, GMP, and related regulations.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with PLC systems and maintenance best practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.
