Job description

Turing is looking for candidates with strong experience in manufacturing operations, production workflow management, and team supervision, particularly at the level expected for frontline production or operations leads.
Role overview:
  • In this role, you will contribute to projects that help evaluate and enhance AI systems using your production management and operational expertise.
  • No prior AI experience is required.
  • These projects will help you explore how AI can be used to improve decision-making, process efficiency, and operational coordination across manufacturing environments.

What does day-to-day look like:
  • Design and solve real-world production and operations scenarios to test AI reasoning.
  • Write clear, structured solutions covering workforce scheduling, production control, process optimization, and quality assurance.
  • Evaluate AI responses for accuracy, clarity, and alignment with manufacturing standards.
  • Collaborate with researchers to refine AI understanding of factory workflows, leadership decision-making, and lean manufacturing practices.

Requirements:
  • 4+ years of experience as a Production Supervisor, Operations Lead, or Manufacturing Team Lead.
  • Strong understanding of lean manufacturing, safety compliance, and process improvement principles.
  • Comfortable using web-based tools for data review and annotation.
  • Excellent English communication and ability to explain operational workflows and decisions clearly.
