Job description

POSITION OVERVIEW

Northwood Ravin is looking for a Superintendent to join our team in the RDU/Chapel Hill Area. This person will be an onsite manager and will provide the direct daily supervision of construction activities on the Project, overseeing and coordinating the subcontractors as the work is being completed. The Superintendent will provide leadership and motivation to accomplish goals, have the capability to control costs, time, quality and safety and will be responsible for subcontractors work to be completed on time and per the plans, specifications and subcontracts.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Planning, scheduling & coordinating the daily activities of All trades working on the site
  • Preparing and assisting with regular updates of the overall master schedule
  • Preparing three-week look-ahead schedules and coordinating equipment requirements and material deliveries
  • Preparing daily reports
  • Ensuring all work performed conforms to contract requirements, plans & specification
  • Ensuring all construction activities are conducted safely
  • Assisting with review of subcontractors monthly pay applications

DESIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience on in-fill type project sites
  • Experience on large-scale multi-family projects
  • Experience in four (4) to five (5) story wood Frame Construction
  • Experience with
    • Type III & type V construction
    • Elevated Podium Slab work
    • Pre-Cast Parking Structures
    • Deep Foundations
    • Underground Liner Systems
  • Detailed Planning Skills
  • Ability to Organize and Motivate People
  • Understanding of Technical & Mechanical Subjects

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • 7+ years of multi-family construction experience
  • Must have the ability to read blueprints
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Technically savvy

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience in the Kissimmee area with building and multifamily construction
  • OSHA 10 Certification
  • ProCore experience
