Job description

The Associate Brand Manager, Sunsweet will support the Brand Manager in the execution of brand, product, and commercial marketing plans across the U.S. domestic business. This role is responsible for managing assigned projects and deliverables, coordinating cross-functional workstreams, and helping translate consumer, shopper, category, and customer insights into effective brand-building initiatives that support Sunsweet’s growth objectives.

This position is ideal for a highly organized, analytical, and collaborative marketing professional with CPG experience who is ready to help advance Sunsweet’s branded portfolio in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

              The following duties are normal for this position.  These are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive.  Other related duties may be required and assigned.

  1. Support development and execution of annual Sunsweet brand, product, and commercial marketing plans for the domestic business.
  2. Manage assigned marketing projects and deliverables, including campaign coordination, promotion execution, packaging updates, product support, sales materials, and channel-specific initiatives for Sunsweet’s branded portfolio.
  3. Analyze consumer, shopper, category, customer, sales, and competitive information to identify trends, report performance, and support recommendations.
  4. Coordinate marketing programs across retail, e-commerce, club, grocery, mass, and other relevant channels to ensure alignment with Sunsweet brand strategy, customer priorities, and commercial objectives.
  5. Track brand performance, promotion results, category trends, competitive activity, budget status, and key business metrics; prepare timely reports and summaries for internal stakeholders.
  6. Manage project timelines, routing, approvals, budgets, meeting follow-ups, and cross-functional communication to ensure work is completed accurately and on schedule.
  7. Partner with sales, category management, finance, operations, R&D, supply chain, creative partners, and external agencies to support execution of Sunsweet marketing, packaging, innovation, and commercialization initiatives.
  8. Assist with product commercialization, renovation, innovation support, trade marketing inputs, customer presentations, retailer support materials, and post-program analysis.
  9. Maintain accurate marketing calendars, project trackers, budget records, promotional documentation, and post-program learnings.
  10. Identify opportunities to improve processes, reporting, execution discipline, and cross-functional ways of working.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Knowledge/Skills: 

  • Demonstrated experience supporting marketing execution, project tracking, reporting, promotions, or channel initiatives.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to review data, identify trends, and summarize findings clearly.
  • Strong project coordination skills, including timeline management, budget tracking, follow-up, organization, and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
  • Understanding of brand management fundamentals, promotion execution, channel marketing, and commercial planning.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare concise reports, presentations, and project updates.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in reporting, budget tracking, timelines, and project documentation.
  • Collaborative, proactive, and solutions-oriented working style.
  • Comfort working with data, reporting tools, retailer information, syndicated data, or business intelligence resources.

Ability to: 

  • Work collaboratively across functions and communicate effectively with internal and external partners.
  • Translate consumer, shopper, category, sales, and customer insights into practical business recommendations.
  • Manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
  • Experience in food, beverage, better-for-you, snacks, dried fruit, shelf-stable, or related consumer packaged goods categories; experience with fruit-based wellness, digestive health, or better-for-you snacking is a plus.
  • Experience supporting multi-channel U.S. retail and e-commerce programs.
  • Exposure to packaging updates, innovation launches, product renovation, shopper marketing, trade programs, or commercialization processes.
  • Experience with Circana/IRI, NielsenIQ/NIQ, SPINS, retailer POS data, Amazon/vendor portals, or similar syndicated data and reporting tools is a plus.

Education and Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Economics, or a related field.
  • 2–4 years of experience in CPG marketing, brand management, product marketing, category management, shopper marketing, commercial marketing, or a related function.

Physical/Safety Requirements: 

  • Tolerate extended periods of sitting at desk.
  • Ambient noise is louder than a traditional office setting.
