About our property:

Sunseeker Resort Florida Gulf Coast, by Curio is a stunning waterfront destination located in Southwest Florida, offering the perfect blend of luxury and leisure. With 785 guest rooms and more than 60,000 square feet of event and meeting space, the resort is designed to accommodate both upscale leisure getaways and dynamic business gatherings. Guests can indulge in an impressive collection of 18 food and beverage outlets, from fine dining to casual coastal fare, showcasing flavors from around the world. The resort also features a luxurious pool scene, including the largest rooftop pool in Florida, providing sweeping views of Charlotte Harbor and an elevated, resort-style experience. Sunseeker is where elevated hospitality meets sun-soaked relaxation.

What you will have an opportunity to do:

The Security Officer II is responsible for providing safety and security on Sunseeker Resort owned and operated properties. The Security Officer II will help protect guests, visitors and fellow team members and their belongings, as well as Sunseeker Resort property.

All duties are performed in accordance with department and Sunseeker Resorts policies, practices and procedures.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:

  • Follow the directives of the Security and Surveillance Department's chain of command
  • Coordinate with law enforcement as necessary
  • De-escalate disagreements between individuals and opposing parties
  • Properly maintain effective crowd control during times of high traffic
  • Assist, direct, and/or escort guests, visitors, vendors, and team members when necessary
  • Patrol all Sunseeker Resort grounds/buildings (interior, exterior, parking lots, and structures)
  • Sit or stand post when scheduled/required until properly relieved
  • Ensure all doors and gates are properly secured pursuant to Sunseeker Resort policies, practices, and procedures
  • Respond to various situations as directed by the dispatcher, including incidents/disturbances, and calls for support from guests, team members, and the Security and Surveillance Department's chain of command
  • Thoroughly, accurately, and timely complete reports and/or security logs when required
  • Monitor foot and vehicular traffic on Sunseeker Resort owned and operated properties.
  • Ensure the confidentiality of all information (oral or written) relevant to the operating procedures, capabilities, equipment uses, and equipment locations, of the Security and Surveillance Department
  • Fulfill surveillance/dispatcher duties when assigned

What are we looking for?

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

Required:

  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Possess or be able to obtain a First Aid /CPR/AED certification
  • Florida state class D Security License preferred

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:

  • Complete all required training in accordance with position duties
  • Ability to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to function well under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and meet established deadlines
  • Must possess mature personal discretion and sound judgment
  • Sound judgment, superior problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills, with particular attention to quality and detail
