Sun Door and Trim is seeking an experienced Construction Project Coordinator to join our office team. Your role will to be responsible for assisting the Owner, President, and Project Managers in the day-to-day project administration and coordination tasks. You will be in a vital role as the person coordinating material and labor needs for projects. Responsibilities

  • Estimate labor requirements for each phase and plan lead personnel
  • Coordinate field and material schedules, including calling superintendents and posting all scheduling information to the calendar.
  • Assist with supervision and directing project activities as assigned by the PM, including planning and coordinating, circumventing/resolving problem areas, ensuring all company/project policies, and maintaining procedures and standards.
  • Coordinate project kick-off and pre-con meetings when necessary
  • Assist with preparing the job start-up and close-out checklists.
  • Responsible for preparing copies of schedules and blueprints for the field crew.
  • Coordinate punch-list activity tracking and maintain daily logs and project documentation.
  • Track and log additional work and materials as needed for projects.
  • Handles multiple projects simultaneously at various stages and locations.
  • Verify material readiness for each project.
  • Coordinate workflow and on-site requirements with the superintendent.
  • Communicate with general contractors on project status and timelines.
  • Proactively identify issues that could lead to problems and facilitate solutions.
  • Uphold a culture that values safety, integrity, and excellence throughout all project phases.
  • Communicate daily with job site leads for status updates.
  • Responsible for tracking and closing out completed work requests.
  • Track inbound material to ensure the schedule is on track.
  • Conduct job site inspections as needed.
  • Responsible for communications with field crew and on-site contacts.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in commercial construction
  • Strong understanding of construction contracts, specifications, and drawings.
  • Strong computer skills including Excel, Word, and Mac Mail.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to efficiently analyze and organize important information regarding plan layouts, material deliveries, and job site productivity.
  • Must have a reliable vehicle, insurance, a valid driver's license, and a clean driving record.
