ELIGIBLE FOR PROFIT SHARING IN FIRST YEAR (PRORATED BASED ON HIRE DATE)
Job Title: Driver
Hourly or salary: Hourly
Position type / expected hours: Full-time (Sunday, Monday and Thursday from 8:00 pm to 6:00 am
Starting Wage: $20 to $24 (depending on experience) + 8% Shift Premium
For over 45 years, Century Sun Metal Treating has been servicing the metal working industry with high quality heat treating services. Producing the optimum metallurgical properties including excellent distortion control and uniformity of hardness have been our goal. Century Sun offers a wide range of thermal processes to assist customers throughout the world. Many OEMs and steel suppliers to the industry now specify Century Sun Metal Treating as the vendor of choice.
Summary/Objective
Load and secure customer product for transport. Assist in inspecting and packing customer product in preparation of transportation to customer facility.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
1. Deliver and pick up customer product in a safe and timely manner.
2. Maintain DOT driver log.
3. Interact with customers daily in a professional and courteous manner.
4. Assist in the inspection of customer product after heat treat process.
5. Assist in packing customer product prior to shipment.
6. Load and secure product on truck
7. Adhere to all DOT/FMCSA regulations.

Position Requirements
1. Requires a high school diploma or GED.
2. Class B CDL with air brake endorsement and ability to obtain Class A CDL.
3. Ability to navigate roadways through use of maps/GPS/road signs.
4. Ability to communicate and relay customer instructions to plant management.
5. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence and understand written and verbal instructions.
6. Ability to operate Fork truck safely.
