Job description

Position Overview
Responsible for leading and overseeing the operation and management of canopy tours and climbing facilities. This manager will provide experience and expertise that will ensure competent staff and a quality program.
Key Responsibilities
  • Train and manage staff to have the knowledge to carry out a safe, impactful, and fun aerial program
  • Monitor equipment conditions and deficiencies to remove or modify unsafe equipment/operations for guest safety
  • Provide periodic performance evaluations of staff and partake in any disciplinary actions
  • Maintain paperwork and inventory control for program operations, equipment, and facilities under their responsibility
  • Write an end-of-season report with recommendations for improving venue operations
  • Model the Scout Oath and Law in daily interactions
  • Maintain a clean, organized, inspected, neat, and safe work area
  • Perform additional duties assigned by SBR leadership
  • Abide by policies and procedures outlined in the SBR staff handbook

Qualifications
  • Minimum age: 21+
  • Required: BSA C.O.P.E. Director National Camp School Card (training provided)
  • Required 1+ yr. leading teams, Prefer 1+ Summit employment
  • Required: Documents experience guiding/facilitating and managing others while 'at-height' (6'-180')
  • Body weight between 50-250 as per the manufacture's requirement for participation
  • Willing to become a registered Scouting America member (includes background screening)
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Teams for daily work-related communication

Physical & Practical Requirements
  • Ability to stand, walk, and hike up to 8 hours daily and ability to lift/move up to 70 pounds
  • Complete the Annual Health and Medical Record, including height/weight guidelines
  • Housing: 10'x12' platform tent in Staff Camp | Uniform: Summit Staff Uniform | Work Hours: 45-55
