Job description

Position Overview

Teen Therapy Counseling Center is seeking a dedicated Full-time Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will provide high-quality mental health services aimed at enhancing the emotional and psychological well-being of our clients. You will be committed to fostering personal growth while employing tailored therapeutic strategies to help individuals and families navigate their mental health challenges.

About the Organization

At Teen Therapy Counseling Center, located in San Antonio, Texas, we are a community mental health clinic dedicated to making mental health care more accessible to our communityโ€™s youth and families. Our compassionate team of specialists is devoted to providing exemplary care to those who may have limited access to mental health services. We believe in creating a nurturing and inclusive environment where every individual feels heard and supported.

Work Environment

This position is a full-time role offered in a remote setting, allowing for flexibility and the possibility of a healthy work-life balance. Our clinic thrives on collaboration amongst our multidisciplinary teams, ensuring that our clients receive comprehensive and holistic care. We utilize modern electronic medical record (EMR) software to streamline documentation and patient management, making it easier for our team to focus on our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments and develop personalized therapy plans based on individual client evaluations.
  • Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions for individual, couple, family, and group therapy sessions, ensuring a tailored approach to treatment.
  • Utilize various therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), psychodynamic therapy, and solution-focused brief therapy.
  • Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to provide integrated care for clients, participating in case reviews and treatment planning.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical documentation in accordance with legal and ethical standards.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development through workshops, seminars, and other training opportunities to stay informed on advancements in the field of mental health.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Our focus at Teen Therapy Counseling Center is on adolescents and their families, especially those who face barriers to accessing appropriate mental health care. You will be working with clients experiencing a range of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, behavioral challenges, and substance misuse. Providing compassionate and effective therapy is paramount to our mission, and your role will significantly impact client outcomes.

Qualifications
  • A Masterโ€™s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.
  • Active and unrestricted licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Texas.
  • A minimum of two years of experience in a clinical counseling setting, demonstrating your competence and confidence in providing therapeutic support.
  • A solid understanding of legal and ethical standards in mental health practice, underlining your commitment to ethical care.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, enabling you to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a team-oriented environment.
  • Proficiency in using EMR software and digital platforms for client management.
Preferred Experience
  • Specialization in areas such as family therapy, couples therapy, trauma-focused care, or substance use therapy, which would enhance our teamโ€™s capacity to serve our clients.
  • Experience in working with diverse populations and understanding multicultural issues in mental health.
Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this position is competitive, ranging from USD 70,000 to 90,000 annually, commensurate with experience and caseload availability. In addition to the financial benefits, we offer access to dental, vision, and health insurance, as well as malpractice insurance for our counselors. Our supportive environment also provides the advantage of client referrals and assistance with billing and documentation, allowing you to focus more on direct patient care and less on administrative tasks.

Career Growth Opportunities

Joining Teen Therapy Counseling Center opens the door to a wealth of professional growth opportunities. You will have avenues to refine your skills through continuing education, mentorship programs, and potential leadership roles as our clinic expands. We are invested in your professional development and provide resources to support your journey in counseling.

Why Join Our Team

Become a part of a compassionate team dedicated to changing lives and improving mental health within our community. At Teen Therapy Counseling Center, we believe in the value of every team memberโ€™s contribution and foster a collaborative environment where innovative therapy practices thrive. If you are committed to making a difference and enhancing the lives of others through counseling, we would love to hear from you.

Application Information

If you are ready to take the next step in your counseling career, please submit your resume and cover letter detailing your experience and suitability for the role. We look forward to welcoming a dedicated LPC to our team who shares our vision for accessible and effective mental health care.
