Engineering/Engineering Technology Internship
Join T. Baker Smith for an opportunity to gain real-world experience working alongside a team of engineering professionals for mentorship and professional development.
Your Opportunity:
  • Assist in the development, design, and Coordination of projects.
  • Develop feasible design alternatives and compare significant parameters.
  • Identify and analyze the principal design features and evaluate potential design alternatives.
  • Assist in the development of detailed plans, specifications, reports, schedules, and cost estimates with project team.
  • Produce and revise drawings, sketches, and plans in accordance with project standards.
  • Review and analyze field notes, data, and calculations.
  • Research specifications and materials.
  • Expand your knowledge of equipment, techniques, procedures, and regulations.
  • Participate in professional development and training.
  • Acquire field experience while observing client sites under construction.

Qualifications and Skills:
  • Actively enrolled students in their sophomore, junior or senior level classes pursuing an engineering or engineering technology degree
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret drawings and the most complex documents.
  • Ability to operate computer, using technical software, which includes computer, aided drafting and other applications, spreadsheets, and other business software.
  • AutoCAD, Micro Station, Inventor, or Solid works experience is a plus!
  • Excellent communication and diplomacy skills.
