Monarch Manufacturing, Inc.s Finish Departments Finishers are an integral part of the cabinet production process. Finishers take our custom cabinetry and apply the multitude of paint or stain options that we offer to create a truly custom piece. It is because of their extreme attention to detail and consistency that our customers cabinets make it to the next stages of the production process and eventually into our customers homes or businesses.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

There are no supervisory responsibilities for this position.


RESPONSIBILITIES/JOB DUTIES:

  • Read and comprehend order paperwork.
  • Utilize various computer programs.
  • Use a High-Volume Low Pressure (HVLP) paint spray gun.
  • Perform hand sanding.
  • Use wipe staining processes.
  • Roba machine operation.
  • Makor operation.
  • Train on the handling of hazardous waste materials.
  • Dedication to keeping a clean and well-stocked working environment.
  • Cross-train in other areas during department downtime.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.
  • Assessing the accuracy, neatness, consistency, and thoroughness of the work assigned.


COMPETENCIES/SKILLS:

  • Basic mathematical understanding.
  • Listening and communication skills.


EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

Prior woodworking or cabinetry experience is preferred but not required.
Prior painting experience is preferred but not required.
Prior sanding experience is preferred but not required.


PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Ascending or descending ladders and stepstools on an occasional basis.
  • Remain standing in a stationary position for prolonged periods constantly.
  • Moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one workstation to another constantly.
  • Adjusting or moving objects of varying weights in all directions.
    • Constant movement of objects up to 20 pounds.
    • Occasional movement of objects up to 50 pounds.
  • Constant repeated motions that may include the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
  • Constant operation of machinery and/or power tools as assigned.
  • Occasional operation of motor vehicles or heavy equipment.


ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS:

  • Occasional exposure to high temperatures during summer months.
  • Constant exposure to noisy environments.
  • Exposure to hazardous materials, specifically chemical hazards in the form of varnishes, lacquers, and solvents.
  • Exposure to airborne particles, specifically sawdust.
  • Occasional exposure to small and/or enclosed spaces.


JOB LOCATION:

Sullivan, Illinois.


PAY SCALE:

$18.00 to $22.00 an hour.


WORK SCHEDULE:

Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM. (40 hours a week).
Mandatory overtime is determined on a day-to-day basis.
