Job description

Celerity Integrated Services, located in Quakertown, PA, designs, builds, services and maintains fiber optic and wireless infrastructure. Fiber optic infrastructure is the technology that drives broadband, the Internet, streaming services, wireless communications and a host of future technologies such as smart cities and smart power grids. We are currently looking for a Fiber Optic Technician Trainees/Apprentice to fill a skilled labor position and begin a career in an ever-growing and evolving industry.

If you enjoy working outdoors with your hands and learning new skills, a career in fiber optic infrastructure may be an excellent fit for you. We are looking for candidates who have a strong work ethic, critical thinking skills and the ability to retain information to take part in our paid training program. Our apprenticeship program is a 4-year program that is certified by the State of Pennsylvania. Starting salary is $22.00-$23.00 per hour for both. You would be hired as a full-time employee with benefits. Celerity offers free health insurance to t's full-time employees.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Candidates must be able to eventually adhere to a rotating on-call schedule which may include holidays and/or weekends. Overtime and overnight may be required on an as-needed basis.


Physical and Other Requirements:

This position may require overtime, flexible hours, and some weekends. This position requires the ability to lift heavy equipment (75+ pounds), climb poles (with training), crawl into small spaces, and work at heights. The ability to distinguish colors and shades is also required.


Working Conditions:

Must be able to work in an outdoor construction environment including exposure to heavy equipment noise, dust, summer, and winter conditions. Travel is required on an as-needed basis. Candidates must be able to travel and stay overnight when required.
