Job description

KPF is a leading architecture and master planning firm that designs projects of various scales around the world. You will be working with the KPF Urban Interface (KPFui) team, a team focused on computational design, data analytics, and technology development. KPFui uses data analytics for informed decision making in the design of buildings and cities for people.
We believe that smart cities & buildings are not about drones, sensors or autonomous vehicles. A truly smart city should leverage data to design better neighborhoods and utilize technology to make that data transparent and publicly accessible. We think people should be in control of technology and not the other way around.
Role Description
This summer, KPFui is launching a new internship focused on vibe coding, building software through natural language prompting and AI collaboration. The internship will focus on developing a Rhino plugin connected to KPF's internal agentic AI solution, enabling designers to generate 3D geometry directly from natural language prompts. In addition, the internship will include broad AI-driven vibe coding experimentation, exploring how natural language programming can transform the way designers build tools and engage with technology.
We are looking for candidates with experience in one or more of the following:
  • C# / RhinoCommon / .NET software development
  • Python scripting in Rhino or Grasshopper
  • AI agent development / prompt engineering / LLM tooling
  • Computational design

Pay Range:
$22.00 - $25.00 Hourly
Why KPF?
KPF's mission is to elevate cities through impactful design, collaborating closely with the world's most forward-thinking clients to create high performing, carefully crafted buildings that are unique to their physical, social, and environmental contexts.
  • Career Growth: Opportunities for training, development, and career progression.
  • Company Culture: Collaborative, high-performance environment with a focus on innovation and excellence.
  • Benefits: Comprehensive health insurance, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401k with company matching contributions, paid time off and other perks.

To Apply:
Applications submitted without a resume will not be considered.
KPF is an equal opportunity employer.
