As a GBS Business Services Intern, you won't just observe business processes—you'll help transform them. You'll partner with business leaders and technical experts to identify opportunities, analyze data, develop insights, and explore automation and AI-powered solutions that create measurable business value.

Schedule: Interns should expect to work 40 hours/week

What can you expect from your internship? 

Over the course of the internship, you may: 

  • Analyze business processes and identify opportunities for automation, AI, and data-driven improvements. 

  • Build dashboards, reports, and visualizations that help leaders make better business decisions. 

  • Develop proof-of-concepts using modern technologies such as Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, Power Platform, Copilot, and AI solutions. 

  • Work alongside business stakeholders to translate operational challenges into scalable technical solutions. 

  • Support the design of intelligent workflows, automations, and AI-enabled business processes. 

  • Explore emerging technologies and evaluate how they can create efficiencies, insights, and competitive advantages. 

  • Present recommendations and project outcomes to business and technology leaders. 

  • Build skills that bridge business strategy, process improvement, analytics, automation, and technology delivery. 

Do you have what it takes? 

  • You are enrolled in a degree program with at least one semester remaining following the internship. 

  • You are pursuing a degree in: MIS, Business Analytics, Data Analytics, Computer Science, IT, Data Science, Finance, Economics, Business Administration or related field.   

  • You have a passion for using technology, data, and innovation to solve business problems. 

  • You are curious about automation, artificial intelligence, analytics, digital transformation, or emerging technologies. 

  • You enjoy combining analytical thinking with business problem-solving. 

  • You have strong communication skills and can translate data and technical concepts into business insights. 

  • Experience with Power BI, SQL, Python, Power Platform, AI tools, analytics platforms, or automation technologies is a plus but not required. 

  • You are willing to relocate to Omaha, NE for the duration of the internship.
