Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Step into a rewarding role providing dedicated support for a high school student requiring specialized medical care in an educational setting. This contract opportunity spans the 2026–2027 school year, offering full-time hours with summer and school calendar alignment. The position is perfect for a compassionate, skilled Registered Nurse looking to make a difference supporting student independence and safety.

Key Qualifications:

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license from the Texas Board of Nursing (compact license holders encouraged to apply)
  • Prior experience in either school nursing or pediatric/ adolescent care
  • Proficient in medical interventions including tube feeding, suctioning, and oxygen monitoring
  • Ability to work independently and remain attentive in a classroom/ school bus environment
  • Willingness to complete school district fingerprinting and drug screening as part of onboarding

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 care for a male high school sophomore at one assigned campus
  • Administer and monitor tube feedings, suctioning, and oxygen as per care plan
  • Ride school transportation to and from campus daily, maintaining vigilance and readiness to assist
  • Offer discrete support within the classroom, intervening only as required to promote the student’s comfort and inclusion
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation aligned with school policies
