At Interactive Kids, our School Consultation Team supports students directly within public school classrooms across South Jersey. Some students need help staying regulated. Some need support accessing learning. Some simply need a consistent person in their corner who knows how to meet them where they are.

• Provide 1:1 behavioral support throughout the school day
• Implement individualized behavior plans and ABA strategies
• Support students with:
  • communication
  • emotional regulation
  • transitions
  • classroom participation
  • social interactions
• Collect daily behavior and skill-acquisition data
• Collaborate closely with:
  • BCBAs
  • teachers
  • Child Study Teams
  • paraprofessionals
  • families
• Participate in trainings, meetings, and ongoing supervision
• Provide 2 afterschool sessions per week in home or community settings

This role is listed under our Cherry Hill School Team, but services take place in school districts throughout South Jersey.

Some staff are assigned to one consistent school placement. Others float between districts depending on the needs of our students and partner schools.

Most travel falls within approximately 35–40 minutes of Cherry Hill.

We know travel isn’t for everyone, which is why we want to be upfront about it. The people who enjoy this role most are typically those who:

• don’t mind being on the move,
• and enjoy building connections across different school teams and environments.

Reliable transportation and comfort with travel are required for this position.

School-based ABA is incredibly rewarding — but it also requires resilience, flexibility, and confidence.

Some students may engage in:

• aggression,
• elopement,
• verbal escalation,
• refusal behaviors,
• or difficulty regulating within busy classroom environments.

Not every day will be easy. But the right people for this role are the ones who can remain calm, supportive, and professional while helping students work through those moments successfully.

Not certified yet? That’s okay too. We provide access to the RBT training process and support staff who are working toward certification.

Unlike many school-based positions, our work doesn’t disappear in June.

During the summer, School Team staff transition into:

• Social Skills Programs
• Summer Camp support
• In-home sessions
• Community-based services
• Additional ABA opportunities across programs

This helps many staff maintain consistent hours year-round while continuing to build experience across different settings.

• Have prior ABA experience (school experience strongly preferred)
• Are RBT certified or willing to work toward certification
• Can think on your feet and adapt quickly
• Stay calm and professional in busy environments
• Communicate well with both students and adults
