Calling Certified Teachers with a Love for the Game

Are you a certified teacher or professional educator who understands the fundamentals of baseball or softball and enjoys working with elementary-aged students?

Mets Baseball & Softball Camps is hiring Professional Educators to lead campers ages 512 in structured, skills-based baseball and softball instruction throughout the tri-state area.

This role is ideal for teachers who:

  • Have classroom experience AND feel confident teaching baseball or softball fundamentals

  • Enjoy active, outdoor learning environments

  • Want a structured, weekday-only summer position

This is not a general camp counselor role. We are specifically seeking educators who can combine strong classroom management with fundamental sports instruction.

Position Overview: Professional Educator Baseball & Softball

As a Professional Educator at Mets Camps, you will:

  • Teach and reinforce core baseball/softball fundamentals

  • Lead age-appropriate skill development drills for campers ages 512

  • Execute our structured Mets Camps curriculum with consistency and energy

  • Create a safe, positive, and accountable camp environment

  • Identify teachable moments during drills and games

  • Work collaboratively with Site Directors and coaching staff

We provide curriculum, equipment, and training. You bring the teaching expertise.

Compensation

Professional Educator Rate: $23.00/hour

To qualify for this rate, candidates must:

  • Have at least 1 full school year of paid teaching experience

  • Provide proof of teaching certification (preferred but not required if equivalent experience proof can be provided)

Additional coaching roles available at different rates.

  • Reliable transportation required
