Job description

Phoenix-Talent School District #4 is seeking applications for the position of: 

TEMPORARY SUMMER MAINTENANCE, Up To 7 Positions  District Wide 

This position is temporary full-time, beginning June 12, 2026 and ending August 28, 2026.

REPORTS TO:   Director of Facilities and Maintenance 

SALARY:   $23.79 per hour                                        

JOB  DESCRIPTION:  Under general supervision, perform work in the maintenance and repair of district buildings and grounds such as carpentry, painting and landscaping, as well as other work as required.

         This position requires a commitment to fostering a supportive learning environment for all students. The successful candidate will demonstrate a dedication to ensuring all students have the opportunity to succeed, recognizing and addressing barriers to academic achievement.

       QUALIFICATIONS:   

  • Must have valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Physical demands needed: ability to communicate with students, co-workers, and the public; ability to communicate over the telephone; ability to respond to telephones, bells, students, co-workers, etc.; ability to respond to classroom disturbances, visual cues, student requests, etc.; ability to do physical labor, follow directions, operate hand tools, ability to carry or lift loads up to 75 lbs., climb a ladder, drive school vehicles; requires strength and agility to physically perform job duties when necessary.
