Job description

Overview:
The Summer Camp Operations (Ops) team is responsible for the behind-the-scenes work that keeps camp running smoothly each day. Ops staff handle manual labor tasks, field and equipment setup, tear down of activity areas, and support all venue operations including F&B service, cleaning, organization, and logistics. This role is essential to ensuring the camp environment is safe, ready, and fully prepared for daily programming.

Ops team members work closely with Camp Leads, Counselors, Office Admin, and facility management to ensure all spaces and activities are executed at a high standard.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Complete daily field and court setup for all sports and activity areas
  • Tear down and reset areas between groups, sessions, and camp transitions
  • Move, stage, and organize equipment including goals, cones, mats, nets, tables, props, and supplies
  • Assist with F&B service, including snack distribution, hydration stations, and event support
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in all camp spaces (indoor & outdoor)
  • Support facility operations such as waste removal, inventory restocking, and equipment transport
  • Work with Camp Leads to ensure activity zones are prepared on time and meet safety standards
  • Assist with special events, showcases, tournaments, and theme days
  • Perform basic maintenance tasks such as tightening equipment, cleaning surfaces, and reporting issues
  • Uphold all safety, sanitization, and venue procedures
  • Provide general labor support to ensure smooth camp and venue operations

Qualifications:

  • Comfortable with manual labor, lifting, carrying, and working on your feet
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience in facilities, operations, event setup, or customer service a plus
