Job description

SUMMARY
  • Performs repair, installation and modification of Jet Engine Test Cells. Assists with the verification of proper equipment configuration to drawings and specifications for Test Cell facilities and the associated Test Cell equipment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assists with reviewing data specifications collection ensuring traceability to reference standards.
  • Reviews technical order improvement reports, special training requests, training quality reports.
  • Submits equipment warranties and deficiencies. Provides feedback to quality and engineering.
  • Assists in coordination of field support requirements.
  • Assists Lead FSR with inventorying to ensure proper equipment is supplied to the job site.
  • Responsible for handling, labeling, and disposing of hazardous materials and waste according to environmental standards.
  • Learns about the Atec process improvement for Atec manufactured assembled items and purchased parts.
  • Familiar with inventory of materials and parts needed to complete the project.
  • Familiar with expediting materials in support of FSR on-site activities.
  • Follows prescribed procedures provided by Manager, and site lead of the project.
  • May identify procedural issues and recommend solutions.
  • Notifies lead FSR, manager and/or Program Manager, when material deliveries will cause delays.
  • Familiar with processing Engineering Change Notices, Structural Change Notices and Discrepant Material Reports.
  • Follow Safety Policies and Procedures.
  • Perform other related duties, as assigned, for the purpose of ensuring an efficient and effective work environment.
  • Ensure activities are conducted in accordance with Atec International Standards Organization (AS9100/ISO) policies and correct and report any deviations to appropriate area manager/supervisor.

AS9100/ISO SPECIFIC DUTIES
  • Be familiar with and understand Atec Quality Policy and company objectives.
  • Understand required AS9100/ISO specific Procedures and Work Instructions.
  • Complete all records required by Procedures and Work Instructions.
  • Participate in Atec Continuous Improvement activities as appropriate.
  • Participate in AS9100/ISO training as required.
  • Cooperate with Auditors.
  • Report any deviations to appropriate area manager/supervisor.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
  • Knowledge to properly identify and use hand tools; procedures for training, supply, maintenance data collection, be familiar with heavy equipment, production, and materiel control; facility requirements; and support equipment. Desirable experience with US Air Force technical data, including block, schematic, wiring, and logic diagrams; troubleshooting techniques.
  • Military experience in Jet Engine maintenance operations is preferred.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
  • Employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
  • Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
  • Extended work hours and/or travel may occasionally be required.
  • Travel over 75% is required.
